It depends on which type of growler you have. Some will keep beer cold for longer periods, depending on the insulation factor of the material it is made from.
Glass: 1 to 2 hours
Stainless Steel: 4 to 8 hours
Double Wall Vacuum Sealed Stainless Steel: up to 24 hours
Ceramic: 4 to 8 hours (pro tip - You can keep beer colder, longer by freezing your ceramic growler before filling it, but the growler must be completely dry before freezing. Seriously! Make sure it is totally dry, or cracking may occur)
A well sealed growler can last a surprisingly long time. Beer can stay fresh for up to two weeks if capped immediately after it is filled and kept refrigerated. All the growlers at North City Growlers come with the highest quality caps and seals available, so your beer stays fresh for days.
Once opened, the clock is ticking and beer will stay fresh for 2 to 4 days. As you pour a beer from a growler, air displaces the beer inside the growler and thus the remaining beer in the growler starts to oxidize. In all cases, cold beer holds carbonation the best so keep your growler in the refrigerator.
The long answer: Beer is a delicate product and brewers spend countless hours trying to get the perfect balance of flavors and aromas. Detergent can stick to the inside of your growler and will throw off that balance. Stick with the hot water method mentioned above and you'll have tasty beer fill after fill. If you do use soap, make sure it is rinsed thoroughly.
It depends, but generally it takes 2 or 3 days for us to put together a design proof. We send that proof to you for approval. Once you've approved it, we normally take between 4 and 12 days to complete the customization. We always strive to fulfill your order as quickly as possible and we always encourage you to contact us if you need it delivered by a certain date. We're pretty flexible and always try to help. If you haven't heard from us or haven't received your design proof after 4 or 5 days, please don't hesitate to contact us.
The nature of our customized products makes return a collaborative effort. We accept returns if there was a mistake on our part in the customizing of the product. That being said, it is of the utmost importance to review design proofs to identify errors before they are engraved and shipped.
We are not able to provide returns on orders with design errors if the design proof was previously approved.
Generally, we will work with you to fix any issues that are identified with an order. We strive to do all we can to ensure you are a happy customer.

Option 1 - Online Purchase with Local Pickup: Checkout and pay for your order. We will contact you by email to arrange for pickup or delivery in the Winnipeg area. Our pickup locations are in St. Vital and downtown, depending on time/day.
Option 2 - Local Pickup with In-Person Payment: Checkout and select "Local Pickup with in-person Payment" under the How would you like to pay for your order section of the Shipping Method page. We will contact you by email to arrange for pickup in the Winnipeg area only. In person pickup is cash only please.
Option 3 - Shipping to Canada and the US: Checkout and pay for your order. You will be asked to enter your address and shipping will be automatically calculated based on your location and the products you are ordering. We ship via Canada Post Expedited Parcel, UPS, Fedex or USPS. Delivery standards are as follows:
Canada: 2 - 6 days (includes tracking and insurance) USA: 4 - 10 days (includes tracking and insurance)
Absolutely! We run the business out of our home and you're welcome to pickup from us after your purchase. We are located in St. Vital but can also arrange pickup in downtown Winnipeg (Monday-Friday). We'll contact you after your purchase to arrange a time and place that is convenient.
